The conversation around bidirectional charging is growing, with major OEMs like Ford and GM speaking to its benefits, and it has recently become discussed as a possible addendum to at-home charging which makes up 80-85% of charging. Emporia Energy said they plan to be offering bidirectional at-home charging by 2023, Wallbox North America is also developing a solution. Incorporating bidirectional charging in the private at-home market can likely expand the expectations chargers and usher in a new bidirectional wave.
