Gas prices are spiking — don’t expect sales of electric vehicles to follow 3/9/22

While gas prices are currently surging in the aftermath of Russia invading Ukraine, switching to an EV might not be the easy solution it appears. EVs only represent about 2.4% of the total US vehicle fleet and due to the large supply chain issues and long wait times, EVs will likely not be the solution to the surge in gas prices.
