Electric Car Rentals and Shares Gain Momentum With Business Travelers 3/9/22
Electric cars are moving into the rental space, most notably from Hertz's October 2021 deal with Tesla to buy 100,000 EVs. This transition is happening globally Sixt is now giving travelers hybrid or fully EV options in Europe, aiming for a 12-18% share of EVs and hybrids for its global fleet by 2022. Additionally TravelPerk, a Spanish corporate travel agency, has seen a 227% increase in EV bookings during 2021, and a 505% increase since 2020.
