Rivian electric car plant blasted by foes at Georgia meeting 4/20/22
Rivian has a $5B plan for an electric truck plant in Georgia, but as the state assumed oversight over the project after the county planning and zoning officials were overwhelmed there is renewed opposition to this project. Much of the opposition has come from the local community where the plant is expected to be built, they are opposed to the way this will effect their rural life but all well-water contamination, light pollution, and affecting wildlife habitats. The Rivian executive did not speak during the public hearing held on this issue.
