According to the Environmental Defense Fund's latest EV Market Update report, automakers are projected to spend over $515B globally by 2030 on developing and building EVs. In the US between 13 automakers they are expected to spend over $75B to open EV manufacturing sites. Despite supply chain disruptions global EV sales were up 40% globally in 2021 and 4% in the US.
