Outline cost difference between eBuses as key struggle, with buses in a state pilot costing $365,000 per EBus compared to $110,000 for diesel. New York has released a plan to electrify its school bus fleet of 50,000 buses by 2035 which would recieve $500M should voters approve the plan. There is expressed concern over being able to get orders on this scale filled by manufacturers, but advocates say that by making commitments it sends a market signal that there is large investment here.
