Lawmakers want Ohio’s state vehicle fleet to transition to electric 4/25/22
Proposed legislation in the Ohio state legislature would mandate all new vehicles for the states fleet of 12,405 be completely electric by 2030. This would be a phased plan with 25% of new vehicles by 2025, 50% by 2030, and 100% after that. Additionally, the bill would give financial incentives to EV makers who retool traditional auto production facilities along with creating a task force to provide guidance on the market and charging stations.
