Automakers Back EPA Rules, Amid Opposition From 16 States and Ethanol Interests 4/1/22

While Texas and 15 other states are pushing back against the EPA's new emissions rules, rules which will push for a 40% EV fleet by 2040, there is OEM support for the new rules. The Alliance for Automotive Innovation (AFAI) released a court filing saying that these new stricter rules from the EPA on emissions standards "will challenge the industry" but they will also provide automakers with "critically important flexibilities. AFAI represents most automakers operating in the United States.
