The US's Southeast Region is Moving Full Speed with the EV Transition

Year-End Data Shows Electric Transportation is Full Speed Ahead in the Southeast 3/9/22

While national auto sales dropped 3% last year, EV sales in the Southeast jumped 49%. On top of increasing EV purchasing, the Southeast is leading on new EV sector related job creation. While the region makes up 18% of the national population, they have 43% of announced EV investment and 33% of the announced jobs. The region has added over 15,000 manufacturing jobs in the EV sector and over $12B in investments coming from Rivian's business in GA, Toyota's in NC, and Ford's in TN. Florida is leading in EV sales for the region per capita and Georgia is leading charger deployment per capita.
