It is estimated that by the 2035-2040 timeframe the cost of an EV and diesel truck will merge closely together as a result of improvements to the efficiencies of electric motors, inverters and batteries. Commercial vehicle electrification will happen overtime, starting in key segments like transit and school buses because of the known nature of their duty cycles. Additionally package pick-up and delivery opeerations with low mileage routes are likely to be early adopters.
