Biden administration holds EV industry meeting with Musk, Barra 4/6/22

On 4/6 Biden Admin senior officials met with leaders from major automakers in the EV space to discuss EVs and charging infrastructure, focusing on interoperability. The Admin said "there was broad consensus that charging stations and vehicles need to be interoperable and provide a seamless user experience, no matter what car you drive or where you charge your EV." Officials from the Admin included Transportation Sec. Buttigieg, Energy Sec. Granholm, National Climate Advisor McCarthy, and Infrastructure Coordinator Landrieu. From the auto industry executives from Tesla, General Motors, Hyundai, Subaru, Mazda, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and Kia were present.
