Nice: CTA gets $118M in operations funds, opportunity to apply for electrification cash 3/8/22
Chicago Transit Authority received $118M in the form of American Rescue Plan Grants that will go towards "operating expenses and prevent layoffs and service cuts." They are committed to electrify the whole bus fleet by 2040. They highlight bus electrification funding opportunities through the Low-No Emissions Program ($5.5B) and the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Program ($2B) which they are considering submitting for.
